Villa Calypso
This 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom hilltop villa is located in a quiet and secluded area of Brsecine, approximately 25-30 minutes’ driving distance from Dubrovnik and just 10 minutes from Zaton, where guests will find restaurants, cafes, grocery markets, and a post office. Villa Calypso is composed of two traditional stone houses that were joined together during renovation. The result is a unique vertical layout that spans 4 floors, with another 3-4-flight climb to a pool and barbecue area above. The villa has an artsy, bohemian feel, no doubt influenced by the owner, a highly-talented painter whose works adorn the walls and have been featured in prominent magazines.
The ground floor of the villa consists of a rustic full kitchen with dining table and a charming outdoor terrace with open barbecue. The 1st floor contains two double bedrooms, a bathroom with tub and handheld shower, and a separate toilet. Continue up to the 2nd floor to find two double bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom with tub and handheld shower. The larger of the two bedrooms has air conditioning. The 3rd floor consists of a large living room with fireplace, air conditioning, satellite TV, and spectacular views. Exiting the living room, it is another 3-flight climb to the swimming pool (6.4m x 6.2m) and spacious, 50m2 lounge area with extra toilet and outdoor shower. From here, guests are rewarded with magnificent, panoramic sea views. Finally, on the 8th and final level is a 200m2 terrace with open kitchen and dining area, the perfect setting for a large group dinner ‘al fresco’.
Amenities include washing machine, dishwasher, coffee maker, satellite TV, wireless Internet, iron, ironing board, air conditioning (in living room and one bedroom only), swimming pool, street parking, and baby cot on request.
Because of its many stairs, Villa Calypso is not suitable for very small children or people who have difficulty walking. For those who can manage the climb, however, this villa is a wonderful setting for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
NOTE: There is a 7-night minimum in July and August; in all other periods, a 4-night minimum applies.
