Otherwise, it would have been a time-consuming exercise referring to the many other sites available. Espana: Barcelona was modern, fresh, bright, and clean, with lots of amenities. Being situated inside the walls of the Old Town was so important in our experiencing this wonderful and unique town. We found your list of recommended cafes, restaurants, etc invaluable. We spent 11 nights in Dubrovnik and travelled from Australia... so, therefore, our apartment, its location and the information you provided were key to our making the trip (including making the effort to divert from mainstream Europe) and critical to our having a fabulous time.”

“Espana: Barcelona was great. The owner met us outside the Pile Gate, took us to the rooms and gave a thorough explanation. She was extremely apologetic that the washing machine was waiting to be repaired, and indeed, apologized daily till it was fixed. It was not a problem for us. During the week, she was a delightful visitor, conscientiously making sure that all was well. The apartment itself met all our needs; we had a comfortable bed, great shower, loved the space of the living room and the kitchen facilities. With the daily market so close, we feasted on fresh eggs, wild mountain asparagus, bought garlic, onions and other vegetables. We were able to eat all breakfasts inside and even a few dinners, gnocci from Konzum, fish from the fishmonger. I don't think we'll ever again stay in a hotel in Dubrovnik. Our best regards to you, and we look forward to being in contact another time.”
