Gradac

Description

This newly-renovated double room is conveniently located less than 5 minuteswalking distance from Old Town Pile Gate. It is equipped with a modern ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, wireless Internet, 32 inch/82 cm LCD satellite TV, DVD player, stereo system, in-room safe, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Guests also have access to a shared terrace out front. Just 50m from the room there is a small pebble beach for swimming, but we prefer Danche, a larger swimming area which is approximately 200m away and is an off-the-beaten-path find.

NOTE: There is a 2-night minimum requirement.

We had a great stay at Gradac. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location was fantastic. It was close to Old Town and public transportation, but still very quiet. The owner gave us a great tip about a nearby beach. I would stay there again.

Thank you for the great service you gave us. Trying to book our room in Dubrovnik just a day before we were scheduled to arrive put your online system to the test. When I couldn't get it to sign me up because of the short notice I sent Michelle a note, not expecting to hear anything till sometime after we were on our way back to the States. To my surprise, even though it was well past business hours, Michelle responded and did an override to the website settings allowing us to make our booking. Thank you for the care you take of your clients and those of us booking accommodations through your business. The place we booked, Gradac, was a wonderful room with ensuite bathroom that was close to the old town with a delightful, friendly family as hosts. Our bus was quite late getting into Dubrovnik and our hosts were concerned we might be lost. Rosy walked down to the city bus stop we should get off at and kept an eye out for a couple of lost travelers. After getting directions to Gradac from the tourist office we started off toward our destination when a friendly voice from behind asked "are you looking for Gradac?" Our bus baggage tags on our packs had given us away. Rosy walked us to Gradac where she and her family made us feel very welcome.

We had a wonderful stay in Dubrovnik. Our accommodation was just right - like a good sized hotel room, close enough to the Old Town to walk, far enough to be out of all the pedestrian traffic and quiet away from the main street. We especially enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace. We had a small refrigerator and our hosts provided us with coffee, a coffee maker and a quart of milk. Hrvoje and his parents are charming people and made us feel right at home. It was great having two beaches in walking distance. All in all, it was a great time.
