Amelie Studio

Description

This charming, renovated studio apartment is conveniently located just outside the historic walls of Old Town, overlooking the impressive Minceta tower. A 2-3 minute walk down a long staircase (about 200 steps, but with several landings) will take you directly to the Old Town Pile gate, while a gently-sloping 5-7 minute walk without stairs will take you to the Ploce gate. Not far from the apartment along the main road there is a mini market, a cafe, and the public parking garage.

The apartment is easily accessible from the street with very few steps to climb and has 1 bedroom with double bed and wardrobe, bathroom with shower, kitchen, air conditioning, wireless Internet, and access to a washing machine on the premises. There is also a large shared rooftop terrace from which guests can enjoy majestic views of the city walls and the Adriatic Sea. This apartment sleeps 2; for larger groups, Amelie Room next door can accommodate an additional 2 guests.

Wonderful welcome from Maria. Amelie Studio is a great apartment for two people, great value for money. Superb location. All arrangements happened as planned. First visit to Dubrovnik and very impressed. Would have no hesitation in proposing same holiday to friends.

As I said to Michelle when I called her with an enquiry, we were very happy with our small, simple Amelie Studio where Maria made us most welcome with drinks and cake. She gave us fruit, wine and more cake later in our 10-night stay. The accommodation was very well equipped, clean and everything worked well. Maria herself has hardly any English but she communicates very well with friendly good humour. She wanted to be sure we had organised a taxi to the airport on our last day (we had) but called her daughter Bube for me to explain everything was done. I also asked Bube to thank her mother for her care of us. We used buses and boats - all efficient and on time. The city’s tourist office was most helpful and confirmed our impression that tourism in Dubrovnik is professional and well organised. The hordes of cruise passengers come into the old city like an invasion, spending little, seeing not a lot. We would recommend your company to friends and family and thank you for making our trip so very enjoyable.

Amelie Studio was lovely. Maria was very kind and friendly, welcoming us with a cold drink and cake when we arrived. The website was good. You could possibly make the position of the apartment a bit clearer. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone willing to climb up all the steps from the town!!
