Villa Pristinus

Villa Pristinus is a newly restored luxury and beautiful 18th century farmhouse with a fantastic private swimming pool, air-conditioned bedrooms and 5 bathrooms that can be rented with a cook included in the price, set on a hill top Northern of Makarska on the slopes of the Biokovo mountain. Set at the end of a private road, amid the lush vegetation, this countryside hideaway guarantees utmost privacy. 
 

Arriving at Krstatice is an inspiring experience; the 200-year old stone farmhouse stands atop a soft hill. Restored and converted into a sophisticated home, this property offers a high degree of luxury, beauty and comfort. Interiors ooze charm and character; antique furniture from Tibet to Australia blend with classic Dalmatian floors. The light-filled bedrooms, with wooden floors, are all air-conditioned, with their own lavish bathrooms for added privacy. Whether you are arranging a family reunion in Croatia, or simply travelling in a large group, villa Pristinus offers flexible sleeping arrangements.  Four of the five bedrooms can be made up as doubles or twins, and one of the bedrooms has 4 separate single beds that can be adjusted as needed.

Set into the hillside, the villa enjoys two ground floors, wherein the lower of the two is a sleeping area with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Running along the back of the property, stone floors surround a large private swimming pool. On the upper floor, is the open plan kitchen, living and lounge area with a beautiful fireplace and a stunning view of the Biokovo mountain.  Decorated with eclectic furnishing, these airy and spacious areas provide warmth, cosiness and homey-ness. Avid cooks will find themselves right at home in the villa's fully-equipped kitchens, featuring a large central island with breakfast bar, traditional outdoor barbecue and one more traditional kitchen near the pool area in case you want to be closer to your family. If you want to explore even deeper into the regional food of Croatia, our Concierge team can arrange  excursions to local farmers that  provide us with domestic goat cheese, milk, etc. Also, you have access to your own organic garden full of domestic vegetables and fruits as well as aromatic herbs. 

Just outside the lower ground floor are two spacious loggias: a dining area with a large table that can seat up to 18 comfortably, and an external seating area with stylish outdoor settees and armchairs. Armed with a good book or in the company of family and friends, this loggia is great for entertainment. The area around the pool is constructed in a form of many little terraces with benches overlooking the pool and a countryside. Furnished with sunbeds, afternoons spent lazing by the pool are irresistible. 

Villa Pristinus sits on a private estate, owned and managed by the owner's family, nourished by the more than 9 generations. The rolling hills surrounding the villa are great for walking, with many different trails suitable for all ages and abilities. The villa is located 12 minutes's drive from Makarska coast. Embedded on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina and just a few minutes drive from the beautiful town of Imotski where you can find nature phenomenon Blue and Red lake.
